Introduction to Imaging Tools and Techniques

Overview

Two-dimensional image capture and creation is the focus of this course. From simple image manipulation of photographs to creating complex collages of layered images, students will use raster, vector and page-layout programs to create and present their original images. Students will explore basics of design skills, digital photography and scanning and learn to prepare their images for a variety of output options. The course will also cover basic visual computing skills, including file-naming conventions, colour management and colour modes.
